A Look Back to Move Forward: Let 2019 Blessings Enable a Greater 2020!

At this time of year, most businesses, and individuals, take the opportunity to reflect on the past 12 months and are already on their initial stages of their newly acquired health habits starting to making the changes they recognized that should be made. However, this is also the time to view the new with year with gratitude so that we can again. So, let us begin by pausing for a moment to think back upon the year for all the reasons we must be grateful.

Top Things to Be Thankful For

  1. Health – as much as we want and need to be thankful for events and people in our environment, everything begins with one’s personal health. Without health and balance at our core, we are unable to do the work that we need to do, nor can we share or aid anyone else if we ourselves are not in a good place.

  2. My Family – for all the things that I am thankful for, having a wife and children who make our house a home is the greatest blessing that someone can have. My family supports me, encourages me and keeps me grounded – as well as focused. They are the reason that I strive for more, to be more, to do more and to do better.

  3. Employees and The Work We Do – without you, we could not do the work that our clients rely on us to produce. Every day, you fight through challenging commutes and bouts of illness so that you can deliver on the project at hand. Each and every day, I have the tremendous good fortune of doing something that I am passionate about. Delivering a solution to a customer’s problem is invigorating! The work that we do here at InRhythm gives us purpose and fuels our interest to constantly improve.

  4. My Network – there are many experts in tech, many who have reached the pinnacle of their knowledge and careers. The gift of your time and insights is always appreciated. No matter how seasoned or experienced we are, there is always room to learn and grow and I am privileged to be part of this circle who openly shares what they know to boost those around them. – everyone knows something or someone and having the opportunity to network, formally and informally, with some of the brightest minds in the business is always a highlight of every year. Opening your ears and mind to what others think and share always leads to personal and professional development.

  1. Growth – Finally, this is also a moment to take pride in all that has been accomplished over the past 12 months. Our team has grown by nearly 20%, we’ve added numerous new clients and partners. We were awarded three major awards in our industry. Inc 500 Fastest Growing Company for 7 straight years, Deloitte's Fast 500 Company for 5 straight years and Consulting Magazine's Fastest Growing Company award for 2 straight years.

Beyond being thankful for so many people, things and opportunities, the end and beginning of the year also marks the time to reflect on lessons learned. In 2019, undoubtedly, the lesson learned was that I, and we, can do better in Customer Service. Sometimes, it takes an unexpected experience, call it the “hit-over-the-head-I-didn’t-see-coming” experience. But, when it hits, the call to action becomes immediately obvious and spurs you down a path of corrective action to apply the lesson learned. We want to improve our Customer Service and invite everyone to share their feedback on what we’re doing well and what we can do to improve. We are agile craftsmen, nimble, ready to learn and react to what we’ve learned.

I am exceptionally proud of the collaborative efforts and input from our customers, the efforts of my team and the promising potential of the consulting candidates that we are just beginning to get to know. Thank you, everyone, for an incredible year, a memorable decade and cheers to your success in the year ahead.

Thanks and Keep Growing,

Gunjan Doshi
